Help Ecm Codes

I got my truck back from the dealer last nite. Normal maintance, plus cold weather idle re-program.



This morning when I got to work I checked the ECM for any faults and it had one the number is 1694. Can somebody tell me what this is and what I need to do about it.

P1694 - Fault in Companion Module



No CCD/J1850 message recieved from the powertrain control module-Aisin transmission







I would bet the dealer left it when they reflashed you and did not clear it. When I had my reflashed they didn't clear a code... I made them clear it later.

Thanks for the information. I will call them monday and see what they say. I am traveling right now and will see if i can stop at another dealership and have them clear it.

Its kind of a mystery code. Sometimes associated with overboost, and sometimes associated with failed injection pumps, depending on who you talk to.



P1693 - DTC Detected in Companion Module meaning its set a code in the PCM and ECM.



Normally if its just this code its not much worth worrying about??
