HELP-EDGE COMP and SUPERCHIP

WHAT TO DO!!!! I was told that the edge comp and the superchip D-BOX are exactly the same! ! ! The superchip is cheaper. I have heard all good things about edge comp. , but nothing about superchip.

Wrong.



Superchip D-box is the same as Edge EZ, they are both "timing" boxes and provide about 60hp gain. It is not the same as an Edge COMP which taps the injection pump wire to provide about 120hp gain.

I think that whoever you are talking to about Diesel performance, you should no longer trust about Diesel performance.



Piercing the pump wire shoots your injection pump warrenty out the window. Fuel pressure, boost, and EGT all need monitered with the COMP (It's not exactly an option)



If you are going to get a D-Box, might as well get the real thing. A power Edge EZ.

BEWARE!!!



Any fueling box will void your warranty if your dealer chooses to and some times they have to prove to DC that there wasn't any fueling box added.



The way it was told to me by a dealer was; Do you think we are going to jeapordize our multi-million dollar dealership on one warranty customer!

I know of a dealer who warrenteed ablock 2 weeks after a COMP was installed.



He was 2 months and 4K miles before "out-of-warrentee".



He spun a Rod bearing, dealer took it in, and one new short-block later, he was on the road.



Just depends on your dealer.
