MY 97 12 VALVE CALIF. TRUCK HAS THEM. WOULD A NON CALIF. 98 QUAD CAD 12 VALVE HAVE ONE?

There is no egr4 valve on 98s they did away with them ,Go to cummins and get a non egr intake PT#3931516 They are about $60 bucks. Bob.

COME TO FIND OUT BIG BEST YOU ARE PARTLY RIGHT. THEY DID DISCONTINUE THE EGR IN 98 BUT IT WAS FOR THE 98. 5'S OR 24 VALVES THE 12 VALVES DID HAVE THEM IN CALIF. FOR SURE AND MAYBE OTHER STATES?

You can get an intake manifold for a '94 or '95. The EGR business started with the '96 in CA. Or use a non-CA manifold for a '96, '97, or 98. Where are you located in CA?

im sorry dont mean to shout i just usually have the caps on and forget, im new to this chat thing but thanks for the reminder. im looking at a 98 quad cab 5 speed 4x4 in wy. and the seller didnt know if it had a egr or not im leavin today to look at it if all goes well it will be just the truck ive wanted and the 97 auto will have to go btw im in dixon little town on hwy 80 between sac. and s. f.
