Folks,

I am sorry to make my 4th post my second 911 call. I think my situation qualifies, and you sure were a lot of help in the last emergency.

My truck is on the road right now. A friend is driving. We pull a 20' enclosed souvenir trailer for Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps, a non-profit youth group.

Anyway, we have the "Lost 5th Gear Nut" problem, which fortunately does not leave you on the side of the road.

Can anyone recommend a shop that can do the repair of replacing the nut and tack welding it to the shaft?

It would need to be in:

Northern Ohio and Southern Michigan

North Alabama

North Georgia

Monroe LA and Houston TX or in between

These are the places where we'll have off days the next 2 weeks.

I am grateful for your time and attention.

Not sure how far out of Atlanta your going to be but Jeff Garmon has a shop southeast of Atlanta on I-75 in McDonough,GA. His numbers which I found through a search for him here are as follows. . 866-898-8585 or 770-898-8585.

If you can venture to just a tad southeast of Columbus,OH into Thornville there is also a very good shop there called Enterprise Engine Service. The Mitchell crew have the ability to fix you right up with what you need done in a very timely fashion and would be worth the little detour to get it done. Their numbers are as follows... 740-246-6329

Hope this helps some... ... Andy

I am just glad I seen it and could help. I try and look in the 911 forums first when I log in each time. Let me know how you make out. Just beware of your wallet, going to Garmons shop can make your HP desires wake up,LOL. They have some very good running trucks come out of his shop and from what I know his work is very good. Keep me posted on how you do there... ... ... ... Andy
