My brother who lives near Koln, Cologne, Germany just purchased a 2001 CTD 2wd. He senses the clutch is weak, 130K miles, as the pedal comes up 3/4 until the clutch engages, so he is thinking to replace the clutch. He wants to know for stock truck which clutch he should buy. He just joined the TDR under the name of Krispykriskringle, IIRC.

Thanks, as he does not a lot of extra time to search the net for answers and would really like some help from knowledgeable TDR members.

If there are any members in Germany that could help him I will send you his email and #.

Thanks,

DBK

Just have him contact South Bend Clutch. They have different clutches for different applications and are very knowledgeable. They also offer fine clutches for other vehicles, including agricultural, and race cars.

South Bend...outta my league

Thanks Dave and Joe. I looked at South Bend, and they are a bit out of my league. I figure if the stock clutch lasted this long, something similar will suffice. Right now I am looking at the Sachs unit from Rock Auto. Since I am able to ship to an APO, shipping with a flywheel is not a problem.

South Bend would burn through my whole parts budget... Thanks again. Jonathan.
