Ok well this one got me yesterday... put a new lift pump on the GF's 2000, 3500 last Monday (yea 6 days ago) after I got her gauges in and she was only running 6psi at idle and 0 WOT, so did that she then had 14 idle, and not under 12 running... yesterday goin down our main street with the 36' horse trailer, its starts jumpin and bumpin... i look at the fuel pressure gauge and its at 0!!! So owe ya flame out right in the middle of traffic. . grrr. . i get out and open the drain valve on the fuel filter and get a big blow of air... or it might have sucked in. . not forsure... i leave it open and start cycling the key... all the sudden fuel is goin everywhere under the truck... out of the vent... so close it up and fire it up... got 15psi on the gauge (its mech. off the vp schrader valve) so take off. . first thing i do is get off the main drag. . go about 2 blocks and the pressure goes to 0... and flame out... so do the same thing again and after about 5 mins get pressure back... take off again... and about 2 blocks does it again... so call a freind to take the trailer and i'm gonna try and limp it home... well after the 4th time of this doin this,,,its takin longer and longer to get pressure back... so end up having to tow it home... so what I'm thinkin is a bad Lift pump? Just got a lemon... it does happen... anyone have any ideas other than that... I changed the fuel filter with the LP last monday... Help please... i also checked for codes. . nothing comes up but Pdone... no codes though... thanks ppl... Russ

Ok so where is this module? and when I open the vent/drain valve on the fuel filter I do get alot of fuel once it repressurizes, then I can close it and it will fire up for about 2 blocks then pressure just slams to 0, not a easy drop... just 12 to 0 right now. . then i have to open the drain again and wait awhile. . then it will pressure up again... ??? I guess I'll start with the fuel filter and then make some calls here see if I can get a new lp or see what they say... thanks for the info i'll keep ya posted... Russ

When you replaced the lift pump, are you sure you got all the banjo washers installed (i. e. , 2 per banjo bolt)? It sounds like the pump is sucking air into the fuel system from somewhere!

check lp

very remote chance but check to make sure the top of the lp is down tight. I had one loose from the factory and it sucked air and acted just like yours. really sounds like air in the system.

good luck
