All,
I was trying to finish up the wiring of my A-pillar triple gauge installation (looks sharp w/Westach gauges IMHO) and was trying to tap into the cupholder bulb wire for the the gauge lights. Well, nothing seemed to work to get them going. This was in daylight.
When I went to pull the truck into the garage tonight in the dark, I flipped on the lights, BUT NO interior lights. The instrument cluster was dark, etc. The only thing dimly light was the radio clock and the odometer. Neither of those responded to dimmer wheel.
Did I just blow a fuse? It seems like the interior lights are on a 5A fuse and there isn't an extra one of those on the fuse panel lid. I bought a painless wiring harness for the actual power for the guages (and a few other things) but I wanted to tap into a dimmer circuit for the gauge lights.
Did I screw something up or just blow a fuse? I am heading to NAPA tomorrow for some parts for my Jeep, will they have a fuse that will work in the truck?
Thanks for any quick responses... it will be a bit difficult to drive to work at 5:30am on Monday with no dash lights!!
Thanks,
John
