HELP HELP HELP 800 miles from home.......

HELP!!!!!!!!!!! ok so im about 800 miles from home in my 06 2500 mega cab on my way to SC towing a trailer well last night around 5pm the truck went BOOM and like kicked real hard like the transmission was slipping but its not the transmission cuz the RPM stay were there at when it does it. It will do it ever mile or it will be fine for 30 miles it seems to do it when i put a load on the rear end like going up hills it may do it on flat ground to if any one has any clue on what it can be please reply i need to get back to CT by tuesday morning with the trailer and a tractor like you see on the side of the highways that cut the grass

When you stop, very quickly crawl underneath and feel how hot the rear end and the u-joints are. If you are lucky, one of the u-joints may be trying to seize up and will be hotter than the others. You should be able to hold your hand on the rear end without getting burnt if it is good.

dan if need be and the truck is goin to be down call via nextel or on the phone i will come down and take emer p. b from work but you will have to help out on fuel. i have no problem as long i can get off from work. let me know what you find out. Paul
