I just lost my LP and I will have to fix this outside in subzero temps,

Should I swap in a new one, or is the relocate kit easy to do? I would

prefer to move it back, but do not want to be drilling or messing around.

Need the quickest way to get back on the road.

Thanks!

I relocated my lift pump years ago and really like it. But, it wouldn't be a good project to do outside in the cold. I would replace the factory lift pump in the factory position for now since it is quick and simple and wait 'til warm weather to relocate it!

Kind of depends on which kit and how far you're going with it.

If you're installing Vulcan's relo kit with the Big Lines, you'll be cutting a steel line in front of the fuel tank (on your back on the cold cold ground,) mounting the pump, and running the line up to the fuel filter. And replacing the line from the filter to the injection pump. In theory, it's not a bad job. I wouldn't care to do it in subzero temps, though.

Where are you located??

I made my own. Was easy.

Cold... eh... I'm used to it. I put RV275 injectors in my truck when it was 20* outside. (garage is only 12x24 with a 6. 5x7 door... not big enough for a vehicle... just tools in there)

I gave up on the thing. Ordered an Airdog. Had it towed to my uncle's, will put it in over the weekend (hopefully) in a nice heated garage.

Got tired of the carters failing.
