Need reference of a good shop in Las Vegas, NV. Have two problems. First is fueling. Truck runs good for days and then starts hesitation. Today it really got worst. We are on a trip and tried to limp home. I think it might be something in tank, but ??? It seems to really go bad climbing hill and after filling up. I have drained filter, and changed filter. I have disconnected VanAken all to no avail. Second problem is transfer case leaking. Looks like its cracked. Again trying to limp home and get it taken care of by guys I go to. This is a replaced transfer case and still under warantee, but not sure it will make it. I really need a good shop to help me. We are in and RV park in south LV just off I15. Any thing reasonably close so I can get back to fiver where we are staying. Any help appreciated.

The only place I really know of is a diesel performance shop on Dean Martin Dr. . it is in the south part of town, just south of Tropicana. They are right next to Performance Muffler. I don't remember the name of the shop though... sorry I can't be of more help.

Anyone know anything about the following shops in Las Vegas??

Powertrain Performance

MM Diesel Performance

Bonehead Diesel

Just trying to find someplace to go Monday. Any comments or help is appreciated.

thanks all. got hold of joe donnelly and shop name, diesel specialist off of craig road. will go to them after transfer case is replaced (its under warrantee) for the fuel problem. will keep posted. thanks.

I want to thank goodguys75, BILLUA,Missouri Mule, FFL8N and Joe Donnelly for their help in giving me information on where to go for help. If you have ever been broke down in a town where you don't know where to go, then you'll know how much I appreciate the above people. As an update the cracked transfer case was replaced at no out of pocket monies from me. I had to go to Henderson Transmission for the warrantee work and they had it out and replaced quick. Only problem was getting the right one. For the "fuel" problem I ended up going to Diesel Specialist, Inc. off of Craig Road. They got me in and out quick. Since this issue wasn't throwing any codes and they couldn't duplicate there wasn't much they could help with. Picked up truck and on way back to rv park, it did the "hesitation" again??? No codes, no indication of electrical spikes, no increase in exhaust temps, no immediate loss of rpm, only loss of boost and then slow down. Well put this one in your notes. Laid awake last night thinking (trying to remain logical) as to what was occurring. Boost. So I checked the connection on boost fooler (I have an old VanAken) and it was ok. I disconnected boost fooler and problem solved. Made it home w/o any more issues. Cased closed. Thanks again everyone.

They really tried to help and got me in quick. I'd recommend them based on talking to them and how they tried to help. The guy and tech listened to me describing what I saw on gages and had checked out myself. Nice to find a shop that listens to customers.
