Help in Northern Ca Truck is down on Power

Hey Guy's Have a Gentleman that just bought a 93 club cab 2 wheel drive from me with 68,000 I have driven the truck for the last few moth's and have had no troubles with it . Guy who bought it say's it is still running but will only do 25mph say's it's down on Power .I know for a fact that fuel filter has 3500 miles on it so does oil change .I am thinking either bad fuel or lift pump is going out .Any Idea's he is driving back to Oregon . Anybody in Red Bluff or Redding area that can give a guy a hand ?

Did he pull the fuel filter to inspect it? Your probably right, not much else to go wrong with that year. A co worker called me a few weeks ago ina panic he was broke down 300 miles from home on a narrow 2 lane road with his brand new 30 foot 5th wheel. I told him to pull the fuel filter, he tried arguing saying it was brand new but I convinced him to pull it anyway. The thing was plugged solid. it all comes down to where you buy your fuel and how honest the attendants are.

well the First Idiot that looked at the truck said there was bubbles in the trans fluid so it needed 4800.00 worth of trans rebuild . we got him to somebody we know in that area so we will see what they figure out . the truck is super clean and ran flawless for us so I know it's something simple . Thank's guy's When I find out what it is I'll post it .

You should tell idiot he's gonna need $4800 worth of work on his transmission since his fluid also has bubbles in it :-laf

Seems like "down on power" and transmission issues should be on whole other ends of the diagnosis spectrum.

Well Maybe he's not a Idiot except for the 4800 cost turn's out something broke in Trans from what we know so far. will know more tomorrow some time .

Yeah I guess we will see tomorrow hope it's something simple guy only has about 350 miles to go to get home .

Well it at a guy's shop that we know that does transmission's so we will find out what it is later today I hope . I am thinking something broke inside trans .

Well they found OD Bearing welded to shaft and back band broken this truck has 68,000
