Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) HELP Installing SB clutch....got a ?

OK, I think I am second-guessing myself BUT, are the washers that come with the clutch kit that you use for mounting the clutch basket to the flywheel go on the outside (use as a washer) OR do you put them in between the clutch basket and flywheel (use as a spacer).



Just need some reinsurance about this. I think they go on the outside to use as a washer. Would hate to ruin a clutch because of my ignorance.

use them to hold the pressure plate to the flywheel,better to ask than to wonder.

They are used as washers, not spacers.

Gotcha, I appreciate it guys. I second-guess myself all the time. I got the transmission in now and bolted up and everything. Just need to figure out how much torque to put on the transmission bellhousing bolts to the flywheel bellhousing.
