I had to change the O rings for the injector tubes and now have to bleed the injectors to get the beast to run. It's 11:20 pm and the family is sleeping, no one to hold the starter key for me while I bleed the system. I have the remote starter tool, but can't for the life of me remember how to hook up. Total brain fart, and I gota get this thing running tonight.

Anyone out there awake that can help out????

How do I hook up the remote starter tool on the cummins????

Help>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Thanks in advance.

Pull the starter relay in the power distribution center and jumper between the left and right terminals. Or better yet just open a few lines and crank it yourself, I can see the engine well enough while turning the key to see when fuel starts to flow, then just stop and tighten the lines, it wont let enough air in to be a problem.

jrobinson2,

You are the man of the hour!!!!!! Thanks, I was able to pull the relay and jumper the terminal to the remote starter. Much easier to see the 5 & 6 injector.

Thanks again.

Believe it or not, I'm on my way to Reno, NV from Phoenix, AZ tomorrow in the morning, 900 miles. Lots of driving time.

Thanks once again for the help. Finally can go to bed.

Rob

Glad you got your truck going. I've never bled 5 or 6, usually 1, 3 & 4 are enough, it'll just rattle and smoke a bit then pick up the other cylinders ;)
