Lost power to Prodigy

I have the factory wire harness under the dash coupled to the connector at the back of the Tekonsha Prodigy. I was rerouting the wiring under the dash (Prodigy disconnected) when the end of the Prodigy connector shorted against metal under the dash.

I no longer have power to the prodigy but can't find any blown fuses either.

I appreciate any advice on the fix.

Check for a burnt fuse in the electrical center under the hood. If none of them look bad, use a test light to see if one has power on one terminal only.

I thought they recommend a cb for the power wire on the prodigy. I would think the manufacturer would use one check the fuse block for any bad cb

Thank you for the suggestions...

I finally got to looking at it last night.

It was a blown fuse. I could not tell by looking at the fuse

Doing a continuity test on the fuse revealed it was bad.

(#8 Trailer, 40 amp, in the Power Distribution box)

I had pulled that same fuse and looked at it three times and swore it was good.

Replaced the fuse and Prodigy operates the trailer brakes perfectly. :D
