I am in the middle of the swap between the stock pan and the new Double Deep Maghytec. The directions are a little fuzzy, it takes you through the whole install, refill, check for leaks etc, and then on the next page it discusses a spacer block that is installed against the VB, and the filter is installed to the block. Any experience out there installing the Double Deep. A quick response would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Steve

I have done a couple deep but no DD pans, but I would say that you remove the 3 screws holding the transmission filter onto the VB run the screws back through the new filter then put the block on and screw back onto the VB. All the spacer does is lower the filter lower into the fluid to pick up the coolest possible fluid. Good luck. Jeff

I just finished installing a B&M DD pan this evening. In addition to what was said above I had a gasket that went between the VB and the spacer.

That is what you do with the Mopar deep pan .

The spacer is held in by 2 screws that come with the pan they are longer than filter screws, then the filter bolts to the spacer, if memory serves me right.
