01 long box qc ctd 77,789 on it no known problems with it until now dead pedal from pull though light and key codes 1693 dia codes 1688 1689 have'nt done any check yet,. don't know to start, should i just replace vp/lp could it be something else causing the dead pedal no start, thank in advance larry in soca ,santa clarita 661 2546969 hellppppppp . :{ :{ :{

I am thinking it is possibly the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) with dead pedal. If it runs, but you get no response when you press the throttle, it is probably the TPS. If you get a response, it may not be the TPB, but rather the VP44. Somebody here can look the codes up and tell you more.

Could be your ECM or electronics for gas pedal (don't know the term). But the codes will help to get you closer to the problem.



Here are the defintions of the codes I found.

1689= CAN 2. OB/J1939 Datalink error

1693=Fault in Chrysler JTEC Module

1688=Fuel System Control Module error

Oo. Oo. 1900. 00 labor and parts yahoo going to rebuild my pump at beck/ whitter ca and in concert the reg/ lp/ bango check valve . my only hope is to (find obe-1 caa-niobe) thanks to all in advance she getting fix as we speak,.
