Xzillaraider Switch Knob Question

Well I have made the decision to buy a Quadzilla. Problem is... which one to buy (standard or race)? The wife says get whatever, so that makes the decision even harder.

I am leaning towards the standard box because I have the 6 speed and I am thinking that I wouldn't really be able to use the 140 setting unless I was running 80mph+.

What would I need to run the 140 ??

I have a 4" downpipe and elbow ready to go on the truck and I am going to run a full 4" out the back with no muffler. (no cat from factory )

I can deal with having to get a cold air kit in the future, but will my clutch hold up to the 140 if I don't do any clutch dropping?

I have a thought that with being in the clutch so much with the 6 speed that I would not get as good a benefit from the 140 hp as an auto would.

I appreciate any feedback on this decision I have to make and I would like to hear from any 6 speed owners running boxes on how well the can "use" the power.

Thanks , Dan

making the decision is alot of the fun. Lot's of different opinions, I have the race version with a 6 speed I didn't NEED any of them, but figured for the few extra dollars the race version was a better value, not sure when I will use the top setting but figured I would like to have a little growing room and the 30hp didn't seem like a lot to trade off for the 130-140 setting. good luck have fun.

I love my race box and 6 speed. Other bombss listed below. Runs great, little more money, adn if you leave it on level 2, its just like you bought the standard box! Can't seem to keep the switch from finding that darned 3rd level though! :D Must be a defective switch or something! :-laf

I got the standard box, and don't regret it (yet). I leave it at 60 95% of the time when driving around town.

100 will slip my clutch when I get it on it hard, so it's very rarely set at 100.

Personally, I liked the idea of having the available 30 to tow with. I did so the other weekend and was very pleased with the moderate (yet safe) power increase.

I'm not even sure why qzilla put an off position on the switch :)

My thoughts exactly which is why I went with the standard box as well. Oo.

Well guys, thanks for the input. After adding up the prices for the pillar pod, the pyro, the FP gauge, the exhaust , and the Quad, I have decided that I will get the standard box for now and save the $100. Besides, it will give me something to look forward to doing next year. :)

I also like the idea of having the 30 hp setting since I do tow alot and the 60 may be too much for it.
