I'm picking up a new lift pump from Cummins tomorrow. I would like to put it near the tank. I will extend the wiring to the new location and cut the main line to feed the pump. Then I'll probably run a new line to the filter housing. My question is, what type and size fittings will I need to make the connection from the filter housing(where the banjo bolt is) to my new feed line from the pump? I want to give this a try first instead of running a 2 pump setup. I think that it should help not only from pushing the fuel instead of pulling it, it will also be in a lot cooler location and not get shaken to death from the engine. We'll see.

Maybe a Fuel Filter Too...

You might want to think about adding a fuel filter infront of the lift pump when you move it back by the tank. I would also suggest a fuel shut-off valve as the first fitting from the fuel tank. JMO.

To give you the quick answer: The fitting is called a weber fitting 12mm. I recommend you check out this thread...
