How do I tune twin CB antennas?

What is a 1947 Dodge worth? Reason I as is that My dad had a 1946 Dodge that he was going to fix up one day. Well family and work took over his time and he never finished it. He left it in a barn when he moved and never has seen it again. I just happened to come across this 1947 Dodge Pickup (pictured below) and would like to think about it as a project vehicle and maybe somthing I could work on and "surprise" my dad with. Only thing is, they want 2200 bucks... TWENTY TWO HUNDRED for this thing. its not perfect by any means, but not complete trash either. Just wondering, would this even be worth it, and in all honesty how much you think I would have to have into it to repair it correctly so it was in good looking and driving condition? Not looking for show quality, but at least clean. I am not a rich man by any means, but I really want to do somthing like this for my dad, have for a while. And I am pretty sure my brothers and mom might kick in a few bucks if I asked and we decided to dive into this. Anyway, whats a fair price? I think under 1k is far for an old truck in this condition. Its a classic yes, but come on, its not in that good of condition I dont think.

This year at a big farm auction, I saw a similar truck sell in the 2k range. To much for me.

Have you checked on your dad's old truck, it might still be in the old barn.

good luck, RR

Alpha, in todays Phoenix truck trader there were two 47's. Both of these trucks are in worse shape than the one you're looking at. They are asking $3000 for one and $3100 for the other.

Alphacowboy,

If you want that truck grab it now. It's not the half ton that is not nearly so scarce. Look at the back axles. I think a 12 valve would fit in that very nicely. Have to beef up the front suspension. The half ton had tapered keyed back axles, not the double bearing heavy duty ones that this truck has.

Yeah, it is a rare truck. But you had better be ready to work if you get it. The end result could be really something to brag about. The cab and hood areas look pretty good. Lots of rust in bed and the fenders are kind of mauled to say the least. Getting any parts will be a problem so you will probably want to use later running gear. Wheels for it have to be hard to get. The little running lights on the cab are still there. That's a little surprising.
