My truck got hit in the back side a while back. They damaged the bumper and the bed it's self. I have been able to find everything but a bed. Insurance wants to just replace a side of the bed, but I would like to find a good used bed to put in its place if I can. The side only would look ok, but there would be just enough bend in the bed it's self to annoy me. I try to keep my truck in great condition, and now this!!! I have been scared to drive it lately to and from work because the tail lamp is broken. I have checked the junk yards, and I have even tried a place that converts pick ups into cargo trucks. Plenty of short beds to choose from, but no 8 foot beds around close by. Any one know where I could try next. The dealer wants $6,000 for a new one. The Cargo truck place said that when they get them in it is $2,200 with all the parts. Any one know where someone might have a parts truck that I could buy a bed? 2002 like in my signature.

might want to try H&H auto salvage. it's up here in wis. less than a mile away from me. they had a blue/silver/blue 8 footer but that was awile ago. i could go check this weekend for you if you want. not sure $ wise.

I would try every company which manufacters utility beds, I had a friend that was in your same situation and he found one at one of the companys.

Thank you for the help guys!! I found one and it is only a 2-3 hr drive from home . Turns out one of the guys I talked to yesterday, got one in today, and will have it ready for me this weekend!!! He is going to be around especially for me on a holiday!!! That is service!! I am not even sure of the name of the business, but you can bet after this weekend I will be posting it up!!
