My truck now has 60k miles and I feel like I’m ready to become my own warranty station and I need some help on how to spend my money. I should be able to do the work myself. Things to consider:

Budget $3000. 00

I don’t want to screw up my path to any future upgrades. I don’t plan on anything else but you know how that is.

Truck is a daily driver that must maintain a high level of reliability.

I seldom tow.

I am constantly on the phone so noise is an issue.

I don’t want to touch the transmission at this time. When it brakes it will be a maintenance issue.

Currently I have an edge EZ, cold air intake, tone ring mod, and egt/boost gauges.

Thanks

1. get yourself set up with all the gauges you need, pyro, boost, fuel pressure, and transmission temp.

2. intake AFE/BHAF

3. TST or similar that will keep your transmission from slipping.

1. guages for sure (as above)

2. straight through muffler.

3. perhaps an intake though my stock airbox w/the bottom swisscheesed and a highflow filter cooled as well as my Scotty air 5 does.

4. A fueling box (which you MUST use the gauges to manage). I'm a TST guy but do some searches and make your own choice.

And last, don't wait for your transmission to break before you upgrade it (way more money), if I were you and had 3grand to spend I would put most of it into the transmission, and the rest on guages. A transmission will make far more noticable difference in the truck than intake and muffler combined (lots more money though), If I had to give back my transmission or the (TST and sps66) I would KEEP the transmission! Point is don't neglect the transmission or you'll be sorry. Have fun spending the cash.
