my cruise takes from 13 to 20 seconds to work,,by that time i am back to 40mph,so i take it back up to speed and then hold resume for20sec. ,then it will hold the speed. also this winter it affected my 4wh drive. it took forever to lock in and now my defrost wont come down to my vents! where do i start?where r the main vacum points? i cked the servo and the acid had not got to it,so that is fine. any help will be greatly appreciated... denny!

Make sure you check the driver's side of the fire wall where the vacuum line goes through the firewall. Especially the connection that about where the vacuum line goes under the cowling. Exhaust manifold heat can damage the lines there.

Get a vacuum gauge and split the system in half. Start where the vacuum lines go into the cab. If it is good their then the engine compartment is leak free. If that is the case most likley it is the climate controls Vacuum pots or what ever they are called. The devices that open and close the doors to divert the air where you want it. To test them manually move the levers in and put your finger over the hole if the lever moves out then it is leaking if not then it is good. Hope this helps
