Archived HELP !! Need a mechanic in socal

I just got screwed by my local dealer for the last time. Not only was the part expensive (VP-44) but the shenanigans were award winning. I do my own maintainance and minor repairs. I need someone for the bigger stuff.

I'm looking for some names of diesel shops in Southern California, in particular, Orange county. I've had a difficult time finding anybody (Internet, yellow pages). Please help... Thanx

Bob4x4 and Fred Swanson are very knowledgable mechanics. If I could just talk them into relocating to San Diego life would be so much better. Thank God member Pablo Madrid lives nearby,a very competent Cummins tech. also.

Must say that everyone should avoid the Dealerships if all possible.

A complete nightmare ... I found lots of stuff under the hood... parts, safety glasses, and a complete mess. Dealers don't know diesel!!

Pablo Madrid is an excellent choice if Bob4X4 doesn't work out for you.



Pablo helped me change out my fuel return hose during a trip to CA and he was very helpful. A real asset.

Yeah,Pablo's doing some work for me this weekend. He's a honest,conscientious guy along with Bob4x4. They sleep well at night. I suppose the scumbags do too though. :{
