I have a 2000 3500/6spd. I just bought my Dad a 93 250 Automatic 3;54 gears. I need to do a "mild" power enhancement so I don't have to wait on him to long at the truck stops. Please guys, save me a lot of time and money and tell me the best way to give him just a little more power without doing the full BOMB. Exhaust and KN are first on the list. Where do I go from there? Thanx.

After the filter and exhaust mods, your best bang for the buck will come from a new set of injectors B&D or JRE, Ive installed the JRE's and gained more power than any other single modification i did, no mater what you do to that 93 injection pump you just can't get much power out of it with out the injector change, After that a few simple pump tweeks and she'll be right. of coarse a set of gauges, boost and pyro to help with the tuning

Rick: Thanx for the reply. Tell me more about the TFOD shift kit. We are starting to have some problems with the OD slamming into gear with a BANG almost taking your head off. I talked to the original owner and he brought up the subject that the transmission had never been right since it was new. I know I am going to be going into that transmission soon. We have a trip to PHX. next week to pick up two BIG 5th wheels (RV Dealer) and I think whatever is wrong with the trannie will show up then. Let me know about the kit. Barry
 
Barry, The shift kit is a trans go TFOD Diesel, the funny thing is i was trying to get what you've got firmer 2-3 and 3-OD
shifts, my 1-2 firmed up pretty good but the others are still sloppier than i like,
but the kit did increase the transmissions line pressure, and i gained about 150 deg on EGT full thottle acceleration, so i figure it did some good.
I bought the kit from JRE and installed it myself (and i never try that again) the instructions are terrible at best, no explanations on what to do or why, if i was going to do it again i would find someone that new tansmitions and have them do the work ... ... ..... Rick
