I just changed the headgasket on a 98 12V. Everything was straight forward. The only thing I had a question about was the crank pulley. It did not have a key way in it, so I assume it could be installed any way. Well after I changed the head gasket, I slid his torque plate back towards the firewall as to remove some of the power. It was boosting 35# before and he wanted a safe 25#. Well got it all put back together and truck runs fine except when you drive it, it will not make over 5# of boost. No smoke and no power. Also anything after about 1/3 throttle there is nothing. If 5th gear if you ride down the road and mash the throttle to the floor, nothing happens. Any ideas what I have done wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I figured it out. Turns out his fuel shut off solenoid is bad. and it will not let the governor work right. Took the solenoid off and manually turned the arm to the on position and all is well.

But again, thanks for your help.

BTW, the balancer was off because I fixed the KDP and installed a new seal.
