Well I sold my 96 after I just got it going good. Now I bought a 01 24V. H. O. 6 spd. 4X4 Ext. cab. Its a 55 block so maybe its ok. Now I tow almost all of the time, sometimes gross out at 28,000 but normaly 19,000 truck-trailer-load. What do I need to wake this thing up? It seems like driving a 4 cyl. after my old truck. It is 100% stock, how far can I go with the stock clutch?

Thamks in advance

Edge EZ will wake it up a bit. I hear the HO's respond WELL to injectors. Maybe a small set with the EZ???

Sell ya my EZ if interested, I'm upgrading to a Drag Comp and getting my auto built up... .

How much? I was reading some other post and I think thats the one I want. What is your high EGT with the EZ?

Thanks

Richard

EGT's might be a little lower on yours than mine, I've got the HY and you've got an HX, plus yours is an HO. If I lug it I can hit 1300 at altitude (8-10,000'), with a small trailer. But normally I have to lug it to hit 1200. When I was in the midwest I had to try real hard to hit 1200. If I shift out of OD and don't lug it they don't seem to be a problem.

My EZ is for a 2002, and I bought the map adapter to go to the '01. So it'll work on an '02 or '01. $300+shipping is what I'm looking for out of it.

Mach 1. 5 EDM's are a really fine towing injector & work quite well as a stand alone BOMB in an '01. My stock clutch held up to them just fine. Understand, I don't tow heavy like you. When I added an EZ to the EDM's I had to be careful how I stepped on the skinny pedal. The clutch just couldn't hold it. You could use either the injectors or an EZ with the stock clutch but not both together. Personally, I would recommend the CaTCHER program for your ECM as a first mod.

CaTCHER program... ... ... ..... ?... ..... What in the world is this? ECM= Electronic Control Module, thats about all I know.

Thanks

ECM= engine control module. It's the "brain" that bolts to the side of the block just behind the fuel filter. Do a search on CaTCHER or MAD CaTCHER & you will have reading for a month  . It's a fueling program developed by Marco in Italy. It's all software that is flashed into your ECM. Bob Wagner has a core exchange thing going & Advanced Diesel Technologies may as well.

The Catcher is the BOMB!! Especially if you tow, mine is awesome!!! Catcher+EDM Mach 1. 5's is the best thing out there for dragging heavy stuff. Putting the Mach 2's in mine shortly. Talk to Bob Wagner.
