Archived Help No start after failed #4 injector line

A friend of mine had the #4 injector line fail. The truck was still running when he found it, he shut the truck off got a line replaced it and now will not start. He is not pullling any codes. Any ideas? Thanks

What year etc is friends truck? Is LP good? Did you crack 3 lines @ head and crank to purge air? Need more data.

Sorry it is an 06 common rail. They did bleed lines at each injector which on common rail you shouldn't need to anyways. Right? Yes lift pump is good 12psi

Give it a small dose of ether, just to get it running, then try again.

You don't need to crack the lines on a CR, they self bleed air from the system on cranking.



Either there is another bad injector or the one replaced is not istalled correctly or bad. Disconnect the heater grids and see if it will start with a shot of ether. If it does recheck the injector and torque tube alignment and snugging. Make sure the end of the TQ tube is not deforme dor it will leak and no start.

actually it was just the line he replaced not an injector
