I was driving my truck last night and suddenly the temp gauge went to 240. I pulled over, popped the hood and there was oil all over the passenger-front portion of the engine. The coolant was full of oil, but there is no water or coolant in the oil. I can't seem to keep the temps under wraps and I don't think that this is a head gasket problem because I cannot find any coolant leaks. I've drained the radiator and engine block and now I have no idea what to do next... ..... HELP!

That sounds to me like you've cracked the oil cooler on the passengers side of the engine. If that gets a crack in it you pump oil into the cooling system, then you push coolant and oil out of the overflow bottle on the radiator. Stack'd'n'jack'd had this happen to him on his truck, you could email him at -- email address removed -- . I believe he had to replace the oil cooler and then somehow clean out the cooling system to get the residual oil out of it. Good luck.

Where is the Oil Cooler?

Do you happen to know where the oil cooler is located? I want to say that it's behind the oil filter on the side of the block. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Same thing happened to me when I had my 91. They had to replace the oil cooler. At that time I had a Wix oil filter on it. Thats when service manager showed me letter(which I got later) from Dodge about defects with Wix filters. Thats when I stopped using them. But it was covered under engine warranty anyway.
