Possible donor for 4bt?

Cool ebay Items

I am about to embark on a 1942 Dodge project. I plan on putting a 4bt in it. I have spoken to people who have put one in a Dakota and an old M37 and they are both very pleased with their engines.

Other than the computer, what are the pro's and con's of an ISB versus the older 4bt.

I plan on using an automatic transmission and the truck will probably weigh around 6000-6300 lbs. There is no way I can fit a 6B.

I live in Gainesville, Florida and was wondering if anyone knows of any sources of motors in this part of the country. The posts for the ones in Wisconsin are certainly reasonably priced, but shipping might kill me.

Thanks for any help,

Tim

They sell the whole truck running and driveable for less than 3k. . fly up and drive back... then scrap or part out the rest. I may do it and put a 350 chevy in it when I'm done. then you can sell the running truck. a 350 auto out of the JY is pretty cheap usually under $600. then you get 1500-2k out of the truck.
