Brake Controllers-Which One is Best?

Okay I am ordering my 4" exhaust system either today or tomorrow morning, but can't decide which one. I think I have it narrowed down to Diesel Dynamics or JRE. Does anybody have comments or suggestions? I think I like the exit location of the DD, but not sure. Does anybody have any pictures of the exit locations for both systems that they could e-mail me? It looks as though the DD has more bends in it so is this a big loss? As far as cost goes I believe DD is offering us a decent price, but my motto has always been "You get what you pay for" so I am not afraid to spend a little more to get quality. Please steer me in the right direction.

rmk, I've had the JRE 4" w/Monster 5"tip on for about two months now and I'm very happy with it. Did the install myself (with the exception of welding the hangers and tip. Cost me $20 @the local Master Muffler shop). The fit, quality of welds and ability to position the tailpipe were all excellent. I can get you a pic of my system later today or tomorrow if you still want it.

I have the DD. They supply a walker muffler that fits between the factory hangers real nice. I was not happy with the way the end hung (kinda low). I had one of their first installs and they did a rush job for me along with a D-Brake. When they got some chrome downturn tips in, they made every thing right! Their welder cut the end and turned it up closer to the body for a very sano, tight fit. The down turned tip is way cool and keeps the sound from bounceing off brick walls. From what I've read on this forum the DD is the best for self installation. You might need to do some minor welding or have your local shop sanitize the tip to be "perfect".

Hi, RMK:
Read your post. Thought I would comment. I just installed my JRE exhaust Sunday. Cut the old system off, thought I would save it, that thought lasted 3 minutes, then the big guns came out. Sawzall didn't have a 4" blade though. Must remedy that for future bombing. But anyway, I can't say anything bad about the system. You need to weld 4 hangers which I had a welder so I went down and got some small 60/11 welding rods and that did the trick. What I liked about the system the best was the adjustable exit of the tailpipe but I can't sit here and explain it to you because without a picture you will never know. My Ram is a 2001 quad cab short bed and it is the same location of the stock exit but a tadbit higher. I could have had it the exact same position but a buddy of mine was moving it around until I decided where I liked it, then I clamped it, after all clamps were tightened, I then welded the 4 hangers on. Would I buy the JRE system again? In a heartbeat. Would I recommend it to somebody? Definitely. Is it more expensive that the other systems? Sure it is. But to me it was worth the $100 extra dollars.

I've had the JRE system for about 6 months and I love it. The customer service from Ted was outstanding. He takes the time to explain everything you'll need to know. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
