"HELP" ? on diesel generator oil

I just bought a portable diesel generator and the oil recommended is " AGIP sigma,( HD SERIES 3 MIL-L-2104 C API-CD ) and i don't even have a clue what any of the prescribed oil is. I know alot of you out there do, if you can help me out i certainly would appreciate it.

Sounds like one of them foreign engines.

Use what ever your use in your truck and you'll be fine, but first check the oil weight, it may take 10w-30 or another weight multi-vis oil

MIL-L-2104: Military spec diesel oil

API-CD: Diesel oil, its like illflem said, "run what is in your truck" and hope the power does'nt go out.

Your right illflem,it's a Lombardini engine (20 hp ) from Italy. I use Valvoline Premium Blue 2000 in my motor now . So I will probably use that oil . Thanks all for the help.

P. S. I read futher on in another instruction manual and it said to refill with API class SG or Sh oil (also Sg/CD, SG/CE, SH/CD or SH/CE)

I had a feeling it was a Lombardini. I had a couple of tractors with Lombardinis and remembered the AGIP rant on the oil fill cap. Rest of the tractor wore out before the engine, they're high quality. Mine were 4 cyl 52 hp air cooled, I used Delo 15w-40 in them.
