I just purchased a 98 3500 w/ diamond plate running boards. They look tired and I don't care for the look. At a rv show this weekend I saw a 3500 with nerf bars w/ 2 step areas for a quad cab. They looked like the factory bars, however they said WANNA on them. I think Wanna was the MFG and they are made in Los Angelis. They are exactly what I want. I would appreciate some help in locating where I could purchase this product.

Any 4x4 magazine or Cabelas has 'em. Several manufacturers make them, but for chrome, they are all about $300. For black about $200. Try 4 wheel parts wholesalers in 4wheel and Off Road magazine.

I have the Dodge nerf bars, they have a flat spot all along the top. I really like them, they are aluminimum (I can't spell) and anodized black. No rust and no chipping. The only bad part is they were expensive $450. I would buy them again though.

I bought a set of stainless steel nerfs from Smittybuilt. They look like chrome and have two steps cut into the bar, for front and rear (quad cab). Best of all, no holes to drill!! The mounts install to the cab/frame supports. So installation is as easy as removing two bolts (per side), and placing the mount between the frame mount and bolt.

I would however recommend tightening these bolts AFTER you attach the nerf bar to the mounts. This makes installation much easier.
Two people make this job twice as easy.

Yes they are a little pricey, but I would buy them again in a heart beat. . Unlike the chrome or painted bars... . Rust isn't a concern.

Deezal Man - You got the ticket. I have the same setup and love them. Stainless costs more, but nerf bars see a lot of dirt and grime. Stainless is easy to clean and won't rust - the only way to go.....
