Guys, I had the P0087 and P1011(low delivery pressure) a few days ago and had the lift pump checked and it was at 3-5 psi. So I installed a FASS 150G pump today and now after driving it and testing it out, it had good power and then dropped all of the sudden and codes P000F and P0087 showed up. Rail relief activated, and then low rail pressure due to valve being opened. Would my relief valve be weak and with a new lift pump, the CP3 was able to put out more than it should? Or do you think the FCA valve is screwing with me? I've heard that the relief valves are not cheap. At the same time the overhead consule shows catalyst full requires service, all I have is the catylitic converter in the down pipe left in the exaust system.

What gives??

Sounds to me like the ECM is getting confusing inputs from sensors or the lack there of. We've had discussions on about power of the processor and software in our trucks.

Now for trouble-shooting your issue: You may need to understand what inputs the DPF delete software is feeding the ECM and what it (or they) mean. You may need to build a trouble-shooting matrix that has ECM inputs from the sensors and how they map. What I beleive is happening is there is one or more sensor inputs (either actual or simulated by software) that is out of spec for ECM map and throwing codes.

That is my best effort. I have the CD OEM service manual and I beleive it may be good idea for you to get too, particularly if you are going to wrench you own truck.

Keep us informed.
