Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Help!! Phat Shaft 62/14 install question

My Brother installed his turbo tonite and the question is do you use the hx35 sealing oring from the compressor housing to the intercooler elbow or do you use something different. He can only get 10psi at 50mph @2100rpm and he said it sounds like air wooshing somewhere, i told him he has a leak. Also do you have to adjust the boost elbow for the wastegate or is it pre adjusted? Eric said the hx oring did not seem to fit correct????

Yes use the O-Ring unless you weld the two pieces together. You only need to adjust the boost elbow if it opens too late... high boost! About 1/2 of a turn is all that is needed.

Ok thanks, he must have pinched the oring or something. He is going to tear into it this morning and see what is up.
