i got an edge juice with attitude today and i had it on level 3 and punched it it reved out then the edge beeped a couple of times and the truck shut off. i coasted to a stop and tried to start it. it will turn over but wont fire. i cracked the fuel lines and im not getting any fuel to the injectors. th lift pump is still pushing 12 psi. there is a check engine light on.

Have you checked what codes you've got? I'd try unplugging the edge and see if it starts then. My experience with electronic devices is that if they're going to fail, they do it quickly when they're new.

Hopefully you are just having an electronic issue with the Edge unit. I would immediately unplug it, check for codes, and see if you can get it to fire.

What concerns me is, if you have cracked the fuel lines at the injector tubes, and you are not getting any fuel, it is possible that you lost your injection pump. Years ago, there was a lot of fear of tapping the pump wire on a Edge Comp or similar fueling box installation for that reason. Some VP-44's would fail almost immediately. When that happened, you would often see a p0216 code for injection pump internal timing failure.

Also keep in mind that it rare but possible to have a VP-44 failure without any related codes. I had one injection pump fail on my former '01 without any codes but acted the same as yours..... just shut off going down the road, no fuel at the injector tubes. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is something simple for you, but it does sound like an injection pump failure is a possibility.

i've seen several high hp trucks run out of fuel on the dyno. after a 3-4 second blast they just shut down and it took a good 30 seconds of cranking with injector lines loose before fuel spit out.
