Archived help power loss and limited rpms

I have a 98. 5 3500 and while travelling last night I experienced power loss and can't get the rpm's above 2300. I thought it might be bad fuel because I had just filled up so I stopped again and got a diesel additive. No improvement and have used half a tank. Any ideas?

Fuel Filter, Lift Pump?. Do you have a fuel pump pressure gauge?. Could also be an APPS problem but I would look at the first two before the APPS or the MAP. The MAP is known for problems and not setting any codes. Do you have a Boost Gauge?.
