Doing a 3rd Gen power mirror swap to my '02... got the passenger side done just fine... was mocking up the driver side when 2 wires shorted and I lost my radio, power control to the mirrors, and dome & underhood lights... there is a short that drew down my batteries and truck wouldn't start last night... have isolated the short by pulling fuse 14 in the in-cab fuse block (Cluster B)and after charging batts, truck will start... I need to get a detailed schematic of that circuit or a hint as to what common wire would kill the mirrors, radio, and dome/underhood lights... . any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

did you check the iod fuse in the panel inside drivers door. as I remember it is under a special cover. look at the diagram on the cover. hope this helps.

Check your IOD Fuse. . Not sure what # it is, but it is in a little protected cage, on the inside panel. Hope that is it. From what I can recall, It should be the IOD- Ignition Off Draw.

It's a little late now for this thought, but when working on electrical circuits... .
Killing the power first saves a lot of bad thoughts later... .

Fuse 12 (10A) under dash is hot all the time and feeds all those circuits (according to the diagram I have). It's output feeds three pink wires from pins 6/C3, 3/C2, and 9/C7.

The diagram I am looking at is for a 2500, but I would think they would all be the same.

Fuse 14 is listed as the instrument cluster and is also a 10A fuse. The whole distribution block is fed from fuse 1 (50A) under the hood. The feed wire to the under dash block should be red/black.
