I had a shop install a rebuilt P7100 215Hp pump for me. The problem is the truck is now missing at idle. The tech believes there is a stuck plunger on #2, because there is barely any fuel coming out at the pump.
The pump timing was set at 13*, the tech bumped the timing up seven clicks to a total of 20* timing. There is absolutely no bottom end power at all now! I told him I wanted it at 15. 5* because I tow a lot.

Truck has #10 and 3GSK installed, any recommendations on the pump?

If your not sled pulling or drag racing just pulling a trailer 15. 5 to 16 would be better.

For the p7100 I would get hold of the rebuilder and see if they can get you I good one.

But I would get the timing set right first.

EBramwell...

It sounds like your on the correct path but it also could be as simple as a stuck delivery valve. Timing should be as already stated no more than 16 if your towing and not studded and oringed.

I just checked and your not far from one of the absolute best Cummins men in the country,Rammin On. Keith owns Forest City Diesel up in St. James,MO about 100 miles from you. He is well schooled and versed on our beloved trucks and is well worth a call or a trip. I will add his info below for you and when you call him tell him I told you to look him up... ... ... Andy
