Can anyone please tell me of the proper way to remove the plug so that I may replace the leaking o-ring. Changed anti freeze today and now it leaks. Don't want to just keep turning it and break it if that isn't right. Thanks in advance...
Grab the tab with ChanneLocks or other angled pliers. Twist and pull, twist and pull, etc. It will turn a bit more than 180 degrees to open it.
I've never removed mine, but I understand that continuing to pull after it's open will get it out. I don't guaranty this procedure however. I'm sure there are others here who will know for sure. At least this post will move the thread back to the top.
