Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Help reinstalling p-Pump tonight

Hey guys i am tackling my first reinstall of a p-pump on a 96tonight, any tips or tricks.



I know how to set the timing pin on the engine and the pump for stocktiming(all this truck is going to for now)



Once i get it all bolted up and get the fuel lines back on it what do i need to do to prime the fuel system?





What about oil in the pump do i need to prefill or anything like that?

I would fill it with about a qt of oil down the fill hole or AFC plug. As far as priming I would just pump on the primer until the over flow valve sings. I don't know if actuating the fuel cut off sylinoid will allow you to fill the bores or not, maybe someone that knows will come along and help. Good luck.
