i am currently trying to install my ats twin turbos. iv run into a problem. i cant get the 2nd turbo oil drain cap out of the block. the directions tell me to use a flat head punch an tap the plug to try and get it to turn and then grad it with a set of vicegrips. here is my problem, i cant get a tool in there at an angle that when taped, it will turn the plug. the plug is just too recessed and there is not enough room to work. what else can i do to get this plug out? this plug is the only thing standing between me and getting the turbos in. iv been trying to get the dam plug out for the past 2days and its beginning to drive me crazy. any ideas?

I punched out the hole then threaded a screw inthe hole and popped it out with a crow-bar. It gave me a little problems but not too bad

it was a PITA for me, i have part of a 1/4 punch in my oil pan... ... broke it trying to pry it out... . wish i knew about the screw trick..... gurrrr... . :)

Drill a 1/8 hole off center in it. Screw a 3/16 x 1. 5" sheet metal screw into the hole.

Then use a claw hammer to pry it out.

Works every time. I think I have a bucket with about 10 of them. :D

yep. LOL I know the filling. More of them floating around than penny's. :D That works great, if you are worried about shavings, dab some grease on the drill bit. Works like a charm.
