Anyone know what I need to buy to be able to lube a new upper ball joint that has a flat/flush fitting ? It does not have the typical Zerk ball tip. Can I get a link on what to buy ?

Thanks

You should be able to screw that out and place a 90 degree regular grease fitting in there. There is room, the knuckle joint does clear it.

My '97 out in the parking lot is like that 'cause I did it..... :D

Just have to jack that side up while changing the fitting so that you can get the knuckle spun just right for room.

Mike. :)

Thanks for the info. I don't think I'll put a zerk in right now. I'll go ahead and order the special tip now that I know what to get.

Always heard it called a grease needle. Any auto parts store or even wal-mart should have them for a couple of bucks.

I would go with what Mike said. When I changed the U joints on my drive line they had the needle point fittings. I changed them out seem to me that you cant get the grit out of the grease fitting and by poking a needle in and squirting in grease its pushing in dirt. The normal kind you can just take a rag and wipe off the fitting before you pump in grease. FWIW
