I need help timming the pump in my 94,I,m in texas and might be going to coumbus ohio for thanksgiving,I thought I seen a post awhile ago in ohio for $100. 00

do you have the timing kit to do it?? if you do it's not that hard to do let me see if i can give you some instructions on how to do it. make sure your engine is at TDC,install the timing gauge in the #1 delivery valve socket after you have removed the deliver vavle assy. , make sure your dial indicator is set inbetween 7. 0 and 9. 0mm, start barring the engine counter clockwise while watching the dial indicator drop, keep rotating engine untill the dial stops dropping, once it stops, stop rotating engine, zero your dial inidcator, now rotate engine clockwise untill you get the correct lift for you pump, once at correct lift, pull pump gear, clean the shaft assy with some contact cleaner, to make sure there is not oil on the shaft. i would reccomend installing a new washer on the shaft. make sure dial indicator is still at the correct lift, once gear is pulled, rotate engine back 20-30 deg. counterclockwise to get rid of gear lash, then rotate clockwise back to TDC, once at TDC, while rotating counteclockwise on the pump gear, push the gear on the shaft of the pump, install new lock washer and nut, while having a buddy hold the engine from moving, tighten the nut to reccomended spec. , i took mine up to 150lb. ft. with no problems , go back check the timing one more time to make sure it's at the right lift spec at TDC, and your done.
