HELP TOW Mirror swap, broke retainer ring!!

I'm doing the 3rd gen tow mirrors on a 2nd gen truck. When I was pressing the last on together, I broke the retainer ring , And I also broke the extra 2 removing them , Any one know where I might find some and what the official name is. we are planning on leaving on the 7-2 for Colorado, so I have a little time. Tell me more about this 3rd Gen swap on mirrors to a 2nd gen. I read that you had to sacrafice the power accessories in order to swap these out. Are these the flip up tow mirror that I absolutely have to have?

what you do is get a set of manual flip out tow mirrors for a 2nd gen AND a set of power flip out tow mirrors for a 3rd gen. The standard method is to swap the bases from each set to the other, you will end up with a 2nd gen power tow mirror and a 3rd gen set of manual tow mirrors. Do a search and you will find detailed instructions from a user named Klenger. Also, depending on the vintage (some are glued or screwed into the bases) of the 2nd gen manual tow mirror, it can be possible to swap just the power unit from the head to the manual mirror. I did this on one because I bought a broken 3rd gen on ebay for 9. 99 plus shipping. then you also have to make your own wiring connection as they don't match. I love mine!

A little off topic but How do you like your EDMS, would go larger if you did it again, It look like you tow with the catcher and EDMs. How that work out.

They are great and their customer service is awesome. I don't think any higher would do any good without a bigger turbo. I can aalready bury the pyro if I'm not careful.
