I know that we have all heard of or experienced problems with our track bars. I drive my truck hard and now I have all kinds of slop in the front end. I installed a Lukes Link, but that only seems like a band aid and not a solution. It worked for about three months and the problem has resurfaced again, with even worse results. I have now ruined a set of good tires. I like the idea of installing a bullet proof track bar http://bulletproofsteering.com/main.html

but I must fabricate a mount on the upper point to accept their bar. I also found the complete solution at DT Products http://www.dtprofab.com/dodge.htm

but when I called him and inquired about purchasing only the upper drop mount, he infromed me that he would not sell that by itself and hung up on me. I like his setup, but I preffer to use the bullet proof bar. I still have yet to read in TDR or any other place where there is a solution to this problem. Have any of you done anything like this, and how did it work???

If you are talking just a trac bar fix I used these guys and have had great results. I drive rutted country roads on a daily basis and I don't slow down near as much as I probably should. I have put on about 12,000 miles since I had it installed. No slop at all. Feels nice and tight on the curves when I get on paved road. Hope it helps.

Have you used the stabilizer from Solid Steel? I tlooks like it is pretty heavy duty. If so, was it pretty easy to install? Its about time to look into a little front end maintenance on my CTD. Just thought I would ask.

I spoke with Darin the other day, the guy who has the steering box stabilizer. He said they may look at doing something with the track bar from the 2003 model trucks for the 2002 on down trucks.
