I have been pulling trailers for my business for some years now. I have tried a couple brands of trailers but all have been 6x12 tandum axle cargo trailers. I have pulled these with everything from 1/2 ton v6 gassers to dualies. All trailers have done the same thing i get tons of flats, i have done my 4th flat tire in the last 4 weeks. it seems like the tires are either doing 2 things going flat fast or going flat slowly. this is such a PIA, I do a mix of driving some highway but much of it in town and around neighborhoods. Does anyone have an idea of what is causing me so many trailer tire flats and maybe I can come up with a plan to keep this from happening. Also i have yet to have a flat tire on the tow vehicle BTW

I would put the maximum pressure in the tires that is written on the side of the tires. Less heat build up and better mileage.

Where are the leaks? bead? stem? holes?

Tire shops can put bead sealer on o leaky tire. Or you can "slime" the tires.

nope the leaks are always from road hazzards ie nails and such. I am just trying to develop a theory as to why trailer tires are much more prone to flats than a tow vehicle tire is. the only thing i can think of is when i am turning the tires are rubbing the pavement cause of the tandum axles
