Help transmission questions on my crew cab project

I have a 1985 350 4x4 auto crew and I finally got a great donor. A nice running wrecked 1990 2wd single cab.

So I was told that I could swap tail housing and output shafts into the 2wd trans and run that set up? Will the parts interchange?

Yes I believe it will swap over but to be honest Ide look for a Overdrive 518 trans you won't get much speed out of just a 3 sp trans I Love my 80 + in the crewcab it's Nice to run with Traffic .
