HELP!! Truck wont run

I hope someone can help with this one. I was driving through town friday and my truck just died at an intersection. tried to start it and nothing. Pulled it back to the shop and thought the fuel solenoid was bad as it kept blowing fuses. The #9 fuse 10 amp. took the solenoid off, ordered a new one and put a manual shutoff on for now, and, it keeps blowing the fuse. i have noticed that it blows it when I shift out of park, i can drive it but i have no tach or speedo, and the transmission wont shift into overdrive. Please, any help will be appreciated, as this truck is my only form of transportation.
