HELP VDO pyro. wires

Installing a used set of VDO gauges. Need help with the wires on the pyro. The back of the gauge is marked 1 2 + - the wires coming from the probe are red and yellow. This does not include the light bulb that one I know for sure.





Are the + - for the probe ,I read some where that the yellow is pos. and red is neg. The gauge is marked 12volt and thats what is

its an electric gauge so it needs a 12volt source. and yes the + and - are the thermocouple input.



red is negative on thermocouples and your probe is type"K"

Then the one an two are 12volt power,wich one is pos an neg?

Still trying to decode the four wires on back of gauge... 1 2 + -- doesn't include light bulb.
