I got my rebuilt pump back on, and realized I had marked each line as to which injector it went to, but not its location on the pump! I feel like a kid that jerks off all the ignition wires to replace them, THEN realizes there are specific places for them to go.

Does anyone have a diagram of the pump distribution outlets, as to which port goes to what cylinder? I got two VE44 books and several cummins manuals, this seems to be a secret or something. Jeez!

They should line up 'pretty much' if you install the pump the same as it was installed before - timing wise. My book didn't have any pics I don't think, so I drew a picture in it for future reference:-laf. Sorry don't have the book here though. Also when you remove the injection lines, if you can remove them in two sets of three, it's easier to get them to bolt up in the correct place. This post was probly no help LOL.

The Real Deal

Since it is so hard to find, I scanned the big Cummins manual, here it is for anyone that might want to record it for future use

I tried that, and had to UNDO all the clamps, etc, to get the lines tightened up at the pump end. So, from now on, it is undoing the little clamps and tiny bolts for me. I will concur that it is easier to get them lined back up, but you still gotta tighten them up once they get on there.

Oh, Greenleaf has the #1 marked. The lines attach in a countercolckwise rotation as you are looking at the back of the pump/ DV oulets.
